Age: Year 3 - Year 6
Dates and times: Every Monday from 28th April to 21st July 2025, excluding 5th May Bank Holiday, 2nd June inset day and 26th May half term holiday (10 sessions in total), 3.30pm - 5.00pm.
We’ll be exploring the dreamy world of painting! From the basics of colour mixing to mark-making, layering and juxtaposition, we’ll take your young artist on a (messy!) journey of discovery. Taking a playful approach, we’ll experiment with watercolours, acrylics, ink and mixed media and learn how to develop these experiments into finished pieces. Along the way, we’ll encounter the work of painters from across time: think John Constable’s 19th century skies and the quirky dreamscapes of contemporary Swedish artist, Emma Larsson. And - by the end of this club, their minds will be swirling with painterly ideas!
The Art teacher will pick children up from their class teachers at the end of the school day and take them straight to the club.
