Weekly Art & Design Clubs
St Matthew's Primary School
What
Following the success of our popular weekly clubs, The Little Makery is returning for the spring term with a brand new series of Weekly Art & Design Clubs for children in Years 1 - 6. Our weekly clubs give children the opportunity to really get to know a medium or discipline of art and design and develop their technical skills and confidence.
During the spring term, we’ll be exploring the exciting world of sculpture! We’ll learn how to transform materials with different tools and use a range of materials including wire, Modroc, recycled materials and textiles. We’ll be making armatures and exploring the key concepts of balance and scale. Along the way, we’ll find out about how different sculptors work and develop an appreciation for the three-dimensional. By the end of this club, we’ll hope they’ll all be sculpture vultures!
Check out our gallery to see what our amazing young artists created in our previous clubs.
