FAQs

  • The Little Makery Art & Design Clubs take place at primary schools in Cambridge. Some of our holiday clubs take place at other venues. For further information, click on the 'Holiday Clubs' and 'Weekly Clubs' tabs on our website.

  • We run clubs for children in Years 1 - 6. Children from any school or home education setting can attend clubs at St Matthew's Primary School. Clubs at St Lawrence Catholic Primary School and Park Street C of E School are run exclusively for pupils attending these schools.

  • We aim to be inclusive so please get in touch if you would like to discuss this. You can find out more about our ethos and approach to behaviour management in The Little Makery Organisational Policies. Please see our Terms and Conditions for information about medical assistance.

  • If your child has an EHCP and 1:1 TA at school, you can book a discounted place on the ‘Clubs’ page. Click on the club you would like your child to attend and select the ‘EHCP and 1:1’ option. This is priced at a 50% discount on the full price. Through booking, you agree to meet the following conditions:

    1. The Little Makery will be in touch asking you to put us in email contact with the SENDCo at your child’s school. The SENDCo will need to provide a written confirmation that your child has an EHCP and 1:1 TA at their school. Without the written confirmation from the SENDCo, The Little Makery will cancel and refund the booking.

    1. You must provide a volunteer adult to support your child at The Little Makery club. This may be a family member or other adult known to your child. The Little Makery will carry out Enhanced DBS checks on these volunteers prior to the clubs’ commencement. Only volunteers with satisfactory certificate check results can accompany children at The Little Makery.

  • If your child receives Pupil Premium funding, you can book a free place on the ‘Clubs’ page. Click on the club you would like your child to attend and select a £0 option labelled Pupil Premium. Please note, The Little Makery reserves the right to verify a child’s Pupil Premium status.

  • When you select a course to pay for at checkout, there is an option to pay a contribution to support free Pupil Premium places. Thank you very much for your support!

  • A full refund will be given for cancellations made at least 28 days before the commencement of the course. For partial refunds, please see our Terms and Conditions.

  • Yes, all art materials are included in our prices.

  • Absolutely! Attending two clubs gives children a chance to broaden their skills and build on what they have already learned.

  • Our clubs include fun warm-ups and collaborative activities that give children a chance to get to know each other. At lunch and break times we also give children a choice of activities including outdoor games. We hope that your child will come away with new friends!

  • We usually get messy so please ensure that your child wears old clothes and/ or brings an old shirt to protect their clothes. You’ll receive an email the week before a club begins, with further information of what your child will need.

  • Our clubs cater for between 10 and 20 children. We provide a high teacher: student ratio at all our clubs.

  • Our Art & Design Clubs are currently for children from Year 1 to Year 6. However we hope to see your child in the future.
